Security Engineer, Detection & Response - Japan

OpenAI is seeking a Security Engineer specializing in Detection & Response to join their Security team in Tokyo, Japan. This role is fundamental to OpenAI's mission of ensuring artificial general intelligence benefits humanity. The Security team is responsible for protecting OpenAI's technology, people, and products through technical solutions and operational excellence.

As a Security Engineer, you'll work alongside OpenAI's engineers and researchers to build, operate, and secure transformational AI technologies. Your focus will be on Detection & Response, including infrastructure and operations, while contributing as a security generalist. You'll drive projects across major security verticals, innovate on Detection and Response infrastructure, and ensure robust endpoint fleet management.

The ideal candidate brings experience in Security or related fields, strong knowledge of cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure), and proficiency in scripting languages. You'll be working with cutting-edge AI technology while implementing security measures that protect OpenAI's innovative work.
