OpenAI is seeking an exceptional Security Engineer for their Offensive Security team to strengthen their security posture. The position requires 7+ years of hands-on red team experience and deep expertise in modern technology stacks, including cloud environments, Kubernetes, and various security domains.

Responsibilities For Security Engineer, Offensive Security
- Conduct open-scope red and purple team operations, simulating realistic attack scenarios
- Collaborate with defensive security teams to enhance detection, response, and mitigation capabilities
- Perform comprehensive penetration testing on products
- Leverage advanced automation and OpenAI technologies
- Present insightful, actionable findings
- Influence security strategy with attacker-driven insights
Requirements For Security Engineer, Offensive Security
- 7+ years of hands-on red team experience or equivalent expertise
- Deep expertise in offensive security operations within modern technology companies
- Experience with hyperscaler cloud environment (Azure preferred)
- Expertise in assessing Kubernetes clusters, containers, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub security
- Proficiency with macOS and Linux operating systems
- Experience with data science tooling and environments
- Strong code review skills
- Excellent coding skills for tools and automation
- Strong communication skills
- Active U.S. Government Security Clearance or eligibility (desired)
- Experience testing AI-driven systems (desired)
- Background in AI or data science (desired)
