The position is based in major tech hubs (San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City) with a hybrid work arrangement, offering a competitive salary range of $385K-$465K plus equity and comprehensive benefits. The role requires 7+ years of hands-on red team experience and deep expertise in modern technology stacks.
As a Security Engineer, you'll conduct sophisticated red and purple team operations, perform penetration testing, and leverage advanced automation techniques. You'll work with cutting-edge AI technologies while collaborating closely with defensive teams to enhance security capabilities. The role demands expertise in cloud environments (preferably Azure), Kubernetes, container security, and various modern development tools.

Responsibilities For Security Engineer, Offensive Security
- Conduct open-scope red and purple team operations, simulating realistic attack scenarios
- Collaborate proactively with defensive security teams to enhance detection, response, and mitigation capabilities
- Perform comprehensive penetration testing on our diverse suite of products
- Leverage advanced automation and OpenAI technologies to optimize offensive security work
- Present insightful, actionable findings clearly and compellingly
- Influence security strategy by providing attacker-driven insights into risk and threat modeling
Requirements For Security Engineer, Offensive Security
- 7+ years of hands-on red team experience or equivalent expertise
- Deep expertise conducting offensive security operations within modern technology companies
- Experience with Azure cloud environment (preferred)
- Expertise in assessing Kubernetes clusters, containers, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub security
- Strong skills in macOS and Linux operating systems
- Experience with data science tooling and environments
- Expertise in Python-based web services and React-based frontend applications
- Exceptional code review skills
- Strong understanding of trust boundaries and risk assessment
- Excellent coding skills for offensive operations automation
- Effective communication skills
