Senior Research Engineer, Robotics

OpenAI is seeking a Senior Research Engineer for their robotics initiative to develop foundational models and shape the direction of early-stage robotics efforts. This role is part of a team focused on expanding the capabilities of foundational models for general-purpose robotics in dynamic, real-world environments. The team works across the entire robotics stack, integrating cutting-edge hardware, sensors, and models.

The position offers a competitive compensation package of $440K-$530K plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model (3 days in office), the role involves owning research agendas, implementing technical solutions, and collaborating across teams.
