Software Engineer, Financial Engineering

OpenAI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Financial Engineering team within the Applied AI Engineering department. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining the billing and monetization systems that power OpenAI's diverse product offerings, including ChatGPT and their API services.

As part of the Applied team at OpenAI, you'll be working with the group responsible for bringing cutting-edge AI technology to the world through products like ChatGPT, DALL·E, and various APIs. The Financial Engineering team specifically ensures that these products are effectively monetized while maintaining flexibility for different customer needs and scales.

The role involves building comprehensive billing integrations, designing platforms that can handle both subscription and usage-based pricing models, and creating tools that enable internal teams to work efficiently with billing data. You'll be collaborating extensively with Product, Data, Finance, and Go-To-Market teams, making strong communication skills essential.
