OpenAI is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their Technical Success team, focusing on Midmarket and Enterprise segments. This role is crucial in helping companies transform their businesses through AI solutions like ChatGPT and OpenAI API applications. The position offers a competitive salary range of $220K-$280K plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between OpenAI's cutting-edge AI technology and enterprise clients, ensuring successful deployment and maximum value extraction from their models. Working in a hybrid model from either San Francisco or New York, you'll partner with senior business stakeholders to guide AI strategy and identify high-value use cases.
Key responsibilities include delivering exceptional pre-sales experiences, demonstrating API capabilities, building demos, and providing technical advisory services. You'll need 3+ years of technical pre-sales experience, strong programming fundamentals in Python or JavaScript, and a deep understanding of IT security principles.

Responsibilities For Solutions Engineer, MidMarket/Enterprise
- Deliver pre-sales customer experience for Midmarket and Enterprise prospects
- Demonstrate OpenAI APIs and ChatGPT value proposition
- Build and present demos, scope use cases, recommend architecture patterns
- Create and maintain documentation, guides, and FAQs
- Develop customer relationships during evaluation and purchasing process
- Gather and relay customer feedback
- Handle security and compliance questions
Requirements For Solutions Engineer, MidMarket/Enterprise
- 3+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or similar role
- Thorough understanding of IT security principles
- Experience with programming languages like Python or Javascript
- Knowledge of Generative AI/traditional ML solutions
- Knowledge of network/cloud architecture
