Optasia is seeking a Regional Onsite Service Operations Engineer for their fintech platform that powers financial inclusion across 30 countries. Based in Benin, this role covers projects in Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, and D.R. of the Congo. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated technical engineer with extensive experience in troubleshooting, system operations, and customer service.

The position requires a strong technical background with expertise in Linux, SQL databases, and networking. The engineer will serve as a key technical escalation point, managing both L1 and L2 support while ensuring service quality meets SLA targets. Responsibilities For Regional Onsite Service Operations Engineer, Fintech

  • Serve as technical L1 & L2 escalation point for troubleshooting
  • Take ownership of customer issues and resolve within SLA target times
  • Work on stand-by basis outside standard working hours
  • Evaluate and solve technical problems with customer's and internal teams
  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues
  • Act as local Single-Point-of-Contact for Service Operations
  • Participate in technical meetings with MNO
  • Log and update technical tickets properly
  • Work on other assigned projects
  • Proactively identify ways to improve processes

Requirements For Regional Onsite Service Operations Engineer, Fintech

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or similar
  • 4+ years of working experience in a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and/or Postgres databases
  • Hands-on Linux & Networking experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Fluent in English & French
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time
