Applications Developer 2

Oracle is seeking an Applications Developer 2 to join their team in Redwood City, CA. This role involves analyzing, designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for commercial or end-user applications. The successful candidate will write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you'll be responsible for detailed design based on provided specifications, assist in system planning, scheduling, and implementation. You'll analyze system specifications, existing business processes, and information systems to build enhancements and resolve bugs. The role requires building and executing unit tests and unit test plans, as well as communicating with QA and porting engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining software applications
• Writing efficient, testable, and reusable code
• Troubleshooting and debugging applications
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback

Required skills:

• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, SQL, PLSQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML, and REGEX
• Experience with design specification, coding, building, and unit testing
• Knowledge of frameworks based on Model View Controller (MVC)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
