Description For Applications Developer

Oracle's Procurement Cloud Development team is seeking a skilled Applications Developer to join their dynamic team. This role is part of Oracle's fast-growing Procurement Cloud division, which serves diverse customers from leading fast-food chains to the world's largest furniture makers.

As an Applications Developer, you'll work on sophisticated areas including complex search engines, time-critical auctions/bidding processes, and core business functionalities like bulk order processing. You'll utilize cutting-edge technologies such as JDeveloper, ADF, Oracle 12c Database, Oracle SQL, BPEL, Oracle Text, BC4J, web-services, and service-oriented architectures (SOA).

The position offers a unique blend of technical challenges and business exposure. You'll be involved in the entire development cycle, from working with product management to define functionality to interacting directly with customers for issue resolution. The role requires 4 years of software engineering experience, with strong Java programming skills and excellent analytical abilities.

Responsibilities For Applications Developer

  • Analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs
  • Write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications
  • Perform high-level design based on provided external specifications
  • Specify, design and implement changes to existing software architecture
  • Build and execute unit tests and unit plans
  • Review integration and regression test plans
  • Communicate with QA and porting engineering

Requirements For Applications Developer

Java
JavaScript
  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of software engineering or related experience
  • Experience in Java based Applications
  • Good programming skills
  • Excellent analytical/logical skills
  • Knowledge of Java, OOPS Concepts, JavaScript
  • Experience with JDBC, XML, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux preferred
