Description For Applications Developer

Oracle is seeking an Applications Developer for their Procurement Cloud division, a key offering from the Oracle Applications Cloud Suite. As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on external specifications, implement changes to existing software architecture, build complex enhancements, and resolve bugs. You'll use technologies like JDeveloper, ADF, Oracle 12c Database, Oracle SQL, BPEL, and service-oriented architectures. The role involves the entire development cycle, including working with product management and interacting with customers. Required skills include Java, OOPS Concepts, and JavaScript/VBCS/JET, with experience in BPEL, Workflow System, ADF, REST Implementation, AI/ML, and Scrum processes being a plus. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5+ years of experience in building Java-based Applications, with strong programming and analytical skills.

Responsibilities For Applications Developer

Analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for commercial or end-user applications
Write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications
Perform high-level design based on provided external specifications
Specify, design, and implement minor changes to existing software architecture
Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs
Build and execute unit tests and unit plans
Review integration and regression test plans created by QA
Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss product functionality and ensure quality

Requirements For Applications Developer

Java

JavaScript

BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
3 to 5+ years of software engineering or related experience
Experience in building Java-based Applications
Strong programming skills and excellent analytical/logical skills
Proficiency in Java, OOPS Concepts, JavaScript/VBCS/JET
Knowledge of JDBC, XML, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, REST, ADF, AI/ML, and Scrum (optional)
