The Clinical Summaries team, part of this organization, leverages Generative AI capabilities in a low-code environment to deliver contextualized information to healthcare providers at the point of care. With 4 years of experience delivering clinical insights, the team is rapidly evolving to provide cutting-edge Generative AI solutions for the healthcare domain. As a Principal Applied Scientist, you'll play a crucial role in shaping Oracle's AI future, particularly in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. The position offers an entrepreneurial environment that promotes creativity and innovation, with high visibility and senior leadership support. The role combines advanced AI expertise with healthcare applications, offering an opportunity to impact healthcare delivery through technology. Working in an agile environment, you'll lead technical initiatives while mentoring other scientists and contributing to Oracle's growing presence in healthcare AI solutions.
Responsibilities For Applied Scientist 4
- Collaborate with product managers to translate business and product requirements into AI projects
- Collaborate with fellow technical leaders to ensure successful delivery of models and integration of services
- Coordinate with multinational teams to drive projects from research POC to production
- Develop new healthcare and enterprise services using generative AI and machine learning
- Design and review AI solutions architecture
- Lead and mentor both junior and senior applied scientists
- Develop production code and advocate for best practices
- Participate in project planning and reviews
- Identify and mitigate risks in plans and executions
Requirements For Applied Scientist 4
- PhD in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years experience (preferred) or Masters/Bachelors with 6+ years experience
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable AI models for production
- Deep understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning architectures
- Experience with LLM frameworks and plugins
- Proven experience in data collection/annotation solutions
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals or conferences
- Experience leading senior and early-career scientists
- Healthcare AI experience is a plus
- Exceptional communication skills
