Autonomous Database Engineer (Cloud DBA & DevOps)

The Autonomous Database Team at Oracle is responsible for building the Cloud service framework powering various Oracle Autonomous Database cloud services, including Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP). The framework automates deployment, scaling, and management of databases in the cloud, built on top of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Layer.

As an Autonomous Database Engineer, you will:

• Deploy fixes for the Autonomous Database service
• Focus on architecture, production operations, performance management, deployment, and release engineering
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver new experiences while ensuring reliability and performance
• Interface with senior management and various delivery teams across OCI and database security and compliance architecture
• Operate and maintain cloud database services within the region
• Assess, prioritize, and communicate risks to leadership and engineering teams
• Implement automation, self-healing, and real-time monitoring for production systems
• Document incidents through company-standard reporting methods

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience
• Solid experience with Linux
• Experience troubleshooting complex software and networking issues
• Knowledge of Cloud computing architecture, primarily Identity, Compute, and Networking
• Expert-level experience with Oracle Database technology (RAC, Dataguard, ASM, RMAN)
• Development skills in Python, shell scripting, SQL, and Terraform
• DevOps or continuous delivery and deployment experience
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to quickly learn new technical domains and train others

This is a full-remote role, but you need to work in the Turkey area and have a valid Turkish work permit.
