Description For Cloud Support Engineer

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to join their Network Team. This role is crucial in supporting reliable and secure connectivity solutions for customers. As part of this position, you'll be responsible for supporting OCI customers with their networking needs, enabling them to develop, sell, and deliver Oracle products worldwide.

The role involves working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment within Oracle's Cloud infrastructure organization. You'll be part of building a new technology organization with a focus on excellence and innovation. Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer

  • Support reliable and secure connectivity solutions for OCI customers
  • Deliver and operate critical customer connectivity services
  • Resolve customer issues through sharing best practices and training
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers
  • Troubleshoot network and network security problems
  • Monitor customer issues and maintain service quality
  • Work with automation and monitoring teams
  • Document work instructions and procedures

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field
  • 4+ years experience in Infrastructure or related field
  • Experience with BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, VxLAN protocols
  • Knowledge of Cisco Nexus, Juniper MX, and Arista equipment
  • Experience with Fortinet, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Ability to work with a global, remote workforce
  • Experience with F5 load balancers
  • In-depth knowledge of routing and switching
