Description For Data Scientist - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking elite students with expertise and passion for solving challenging unique problems as Data Scientists. You will interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. You'll develop and code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. The role involves identifying meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources, interpreting and communicating insights and findings to product, service, and business managers.

The OCI Supply Chain Organization plays a crucial role in sourcing and manufacturing the racks that support cloud and on-premises solutions, encompassing computing, networking, storage, and GPU-based products. They collaborate with a global supply chain to build, test, and deliver these solutions to data centers and on-premises customers worldwide.

This position is part of a program designed to enhance your overall learning experience, help build your network, and accelerate your opportunity to make an impact. The program is intended for bachelor's and master's graduates with a diverse set of skills and experiences to work in and across multiple teams within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering Management, Information Systems Management, Business Analytics, or an equivalent science/engineering field
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C, C++, Python, SQL, JavaScript, R, PHP, Swift, Go, C#, Matlab, Julia, or Kotlin
  • Academic coursework, projects, internships, or research experience in areas like AI/ML/NLP, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Computer Systems, Database Systems, Object-Oriented Design, Web/Mobile Development, or UI Design
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
