Oracle Government, Defense & Intelligence (GDI) is seeking a Director of AI Solutions Engineering to lead their Cloud Engineering Solutions Technical team. This hybrid position, based in the VA/DC area, combines technical leadership with hands-on development of AI solutions. The role involves managing senior-level engineers while working directly with government and commercial customers to design and implement AI solutions. The position requires extensive experience in both technical leadership and government sector work, offering a competitive salary range of $187,500 to $314,100 plus equity and commission opportunities. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of technical team leadership, 5+ years of government sector experience, and strong AI knowledge. Responsibilities For Director, AI Solutions Engineering - oRACLE Government, Defense & Intelligence
- Provide leadership and development to the Cloud Engineering Solutions Technical team
- Deliver pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective mission customers
- Manage senior, principal and master principal level AI solutions engineers
- Design, develop, and code bespoke AI solutions for Government and Commercial customers
- Design MVP with customer and technical team
- Co-build AI solutions with customers and Oracle technical team
- Support comprehensive engineering effort through direct hands-on development
- Work with coding, configuration, testing, deployment within SDLC
- Integration with issue tracking, code repositories, and IaC build tools
Requirements For Director, AI Solutions Engineering - oRACLE Government, Defense & Intelligence
- Minimum of 8 years leading and building a team of technical solution Engineers
- Minimum 5+ years working with and around the Government
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Understands AI at a college level
- Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or Computer Science highly preferred
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Strong task prioritization abilities
- Experience with cloud product technology
