Oracle Solution Support Center (SSC) is seeking a Senior/Principal Technical Support Engineer for their Cloud and Exadata Database Support Organization. The role requires a US Citizen, clearance/clearance eligible, based in the West Coast time zone. The main responsibility is to solve highly complex technical issues on Oracle Cloud and Exadata On-Prem platforms, covering a wide range of database-related areas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle database products, UNIX/Linux systems, and be regarded as a domain authority. Key responsibilities include working directly with customers, participating in weekend rotations and shifts, driving product quality improvements, and serving as a Situation Manager for critical customer issues. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. Technical skills should include expertise in Exadata, Real Application Cluster (RAC), Dataguard, and ASM/Storage areas, with additional knowledge in various database management and performance tuning areas.   • Solve highly complex technical problems on Oracle Cloud and Exadata On-Prem platforms
  • Work directly with customers

  • Consult with Management in directing resolution of critical Customer situations
  • Achieve knowledge transfer through training, mentoring, and knowledge sessions
  • Create and review Knowledge Articles
  • Contribute to the 'My Oracle Support' Database communities
  • Analyze workload and implement changes to improve productivity

Requirements For Exadata, ExaCS, ExaCC - Principal Technical Support Engineer (West Coast, US Citizen) - for SSC

Linux
  • US Citizen, clearance/clearance eligible
  • Based in West Coast time zone
  • Greater than 10 years of industry experience
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience (BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science/MIS/Engineering/Math/Physics)
  • Expertise in Exadata, Real Application Cluster (RAC), Dataguard & ASM/Storage areas
  • Hands-on Database administration experience on UNIX/Linux
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to work effectively in high volume & high pressure situations
