Hispanic Heritage Month - Software Developer 4

Oracle is seeking a Software Developer 4 to join their Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development team. This role involves designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging core OCI storage infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of disk storage system IO technologies and experience with Linux kernel Block IO Layer or other OS/kernel Block IO drivers.

• Provide technical leadership to other software developers
• Specify, design, and implement changes to existing software architecture
• Work on complex projects involving advanced technical/business skills
• Contribute as a leading team member, providing direction and mentoring

Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 6-10 years of experience with cloud service development
• Proficiency in Java or other major programming/scripting languages
• Strong systems fundamentals and ability to deliver products from scratch
• Strong design and system architecture skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Experience developing AWS/GCP/Azure backend services
• Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science
