Oracle Cloud Database Performance Engineer

Oracle is seeking a Cloud Database Performance Engineer to join their support organization. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service to Oracle database cloud customers while serving as a customer advocate. The position requires 10+ years of experience in Database Performance Tuning and Administration, with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Technologies and OCI.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving technical issues raised through the customer portal, taking ownership of customer problems, and providing comprehensive solutions. They should have strong Oracle DBA skills, extensive knowledge of Performance Tuning methodologies, and experience with various Oracle products including Exadata, RAC, and Autonomous Database.

Key technical requirements include proficiency in SQL/PL/SQL, ability to analyze AWR reports and troubleshoot complex performance issues, and strong understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The role demands excellent customer management skills, including the ability to understand customer urgency and communicate solutions effectively.
