Oracle Cloud Database Performance Engineer

Oracle is seeking an experienced Cloud Database Performance Engineer to join our support organization. This role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service to Oracle database cloud customers while serving as an advocate for customer needs. The position involves working with Oracle's cutting-edge Autonomous Database and Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) technologies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle Database performance tuning, administration, and troubleshooting, with a strong foundation in cloud technologies. You'll be working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and various database technologies including Exadata, RAC, and Autonomous Database.

Key responsibilities include resolving technical issues raised through the customer portal, taking ownership of customer problems, and implementing solutions. You'll need strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, along with excellent customer communication abilities.

The role requires deep technical expertise in:

• Oracle Database Performance Tuning (Instance and SQL Tuning)
• Cloud database technologies and infrastructure
• Database administration and maintenance
• Operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows)
• Programming skills in C or Java
