Oracle Real World Performance Engineer

Oracle is seeking an experienced Database Performance Engineer to join their Real-World Performance team within Oracle Database development. This role combines deep technical expertise with practical problem-solving to optimize database performance for real-world customer scenarios. The ideal candidate will be naturally curious with a passion for computer science and performance optimization.

As a Performance Engineer, you'll take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures. The position involves analyzing complex customer workloads, optimizing SQL and application code, and developing innovative solutions to performance challenges. You'll work closely with the broader Database Development organization to implement product improvements based on real-world findings.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to impact Oracle's database technology while solving challenging performance problems. This is a hybrid position with a preference for candidates able to work from either the Redwood Shores, CA or New York, NY offices 2-3 times per week.
