Responsibilities For Principal Diagnostics Engineer – Cloud Platforms
- Design and implement state-of-the-art diagnostic software for cloud servers and systems
- Evaluate system architectures and propose diagnostic implementation strategies
- Participate in platform definition, analysis, and bring-up
- Collaborate with in-house engineering teams
- Integrate new diagnostic functionalities and debug issues
- Support development program managers with technical assessments
- Work with third-party component suppliers and partners
- Participate in hardware platform security evaluations
- Provide guidance on system diagnostics and failure analysis
- Assist Oracle Cloud and Support teams in root-cause analysis
Requirements For Principal Diagnostics Engineer – Cloud Platforms
- Proven expertise in C programming and embedded system software development
- Experience with CPU/GPU architectures and chipset programming
- Strong understanding of modern server architectures (x86 and ARM-based platforms)
- Experience with NVIDIA and AMD GPU architectures
- Expertise in firmware and system diagnostics tools
- 6-10+ years of experience
- BS/MS degree
- Strong communication skills
