Oracle Health & AI is a new organization within Oracle focused on healthcare modernization and automation. The Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) team, with 7 years of experience in conversational AI, is expanding into Generative AI solutions for healthcare and enterprise domains. This Principal ML Engineer role is part of new teams being built in India, focusing on GenAI capabilities and Large Language Models. The position involves working with huge volumes of healthcare data, developing new features, and leading ML engineering initiatives. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development in an agile environment with high visibility and senior leadership support. Responsibilities For Principal ML Engineer
- Fully own services built with ML Scientists including scalability, availability, metrics, and alarms/alerts
- Cloud Administration including VM management, package upgrades, endpoint management, and load balancing
- Setup and own CI/CD pipelines and MLOps environment
- Manage data quality checks and cloud data onboarding
- Build solutions for drift checks and impact assessment
- Handle Prompt Engineering, FT work, Evaluation, and Data
- Lead end-to-end AI Solution architecture and LLM Inference Optimization
- Head ML engineering for a pod and provide technical leadership
- Production support of models and incident management
Requirements For Principal ML Engineer
- Ph.D. Degree preferred
- Experience having led multiple projects leveraging LLMs, GenAI and Prompt Engineering
- Exposure to real-world MLOps deploying models into production
- Knowledge of working in a cloud environment
- Strong understanding of LLMs, GenAI, Prompt Engineering and Copilot
- 10+ years of experience
