Principal Technical Operations Engineer

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Principal Technical Operations Engineer to join their Sovereign Cloud team. This role focuses on building and operating government, classified, and sovereign cloud regions with high reliability and performance. The position requires a blend of deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and systems administration to support Japan's governmental sovereign cloud environment.

As a Principal Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing critical production environments, including systems and databases. You'll perform complex administration tasks, recommend innovative solutions for improving availability, performance, and supportability. This role offers an opportunity to tackle challenges related to immense growth, scaling, and high-availability requirements in cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux administration, cloud operations, and modern DevOps tools. You'll guide junior engineers, participate in large-scale incident management, and help establish new processes. The role requires native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency, as you'll be working with partners both in Japan and internationally.
