Responsibilities For Principal Technical Writer (Java skills required)
- Deliver accurate developer-facing content on time and with high quality
- Create API documentation, user guides, release notes, blog posts, reference manuals, white papers
- Review and copyedit content developed by other team members
- Work closely with team members to ensure consistency
- Contribute to polishing in-house documentation standards
- Contribute to strategic initiatives around authoring environments
- Provide documentation for new emerging Oracle Cloud services based on GraalVM
- Expand the existing documentation base
- Design graphics and diagrams to simplify complex concepts
Requirements For Principal Technical Writer (Java skills required)
- 5+ years of experience as Technical Writer, Technical Editor, Content Strategist, or similar role
- Upper Intermediate/Advanced level in English, both spoken and written
- Hands-on knowledge of Markdown/AsciiDoc markup languages
- Experience documenting highly complex engineering environments
- Strong drafting, copy editing, and proofreading expertise
- Experience with project management software such as Atlassian
- Experience using distributed source code management systems, such as Git
- Strong team player with outstanding communication skills
- Ability to work independently within large and globally distributed software development organization
