As a Principal Network Reliability Engineer, you'll join the Network Reliability Engineering team focused on providing scalable services for operational excellence in OCI networks. The role involves designing, building, and operating highly scalable solutions for Oracle's next-generation Cloud Infrastructure.

The position requires expertise in managing complex distributed systems involving thousands of devices, with a focus on network automation and device management. You'll be responsible for auto-remediation of incidents, implementing touchless operations, and ensuring seamless network capacity management. The ideal candidate should be an experienced coder with strong networking and distributed systems knowledge.

Responsibilities For Principle Network Reliability Engineer

  • Work with Network Reliability Engineering (NRE) team on shared full stack ownership of services
  • Design and delivery of mission critical stack, focusing on security, resiliency, scale, and performance
  • Partner with development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture
  • Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues
  • Understand and explain the affect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems
  • Utilize deep understanding of service topology and dependencies for troubleshooting

Requirements For Principle Network Reliability Engineer

Python
Java
  • 5+ years of experience in network and software development
  • Proficiency with Java/Python/C++ and Object Oriented programming
  • Proficiency with network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of basic data structures, search/sort algorithms
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
