As a Sr. Cloud Support Engineer at Oracle, you will be responsible for resolving customer tickets and providing technical solutions to Oracle customers. You'll be the main point of contact for customers, building relationships and supporting them with any issues. You'll also assist internal Oracle employees with diverse customer situations, including escalations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Representing the customer's voice within the engineering organization
- Influencing product features to improve customer experience
- Resolving issues related to installation, maintenance, and use of Oracle products
- Collaborating with other teams to provide infrastructure solutions
- Independently researching and developing solutions to customer problems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in Infrastructure or related field
- Fluency in Japanese and English
- Strong understanding of cloud concepts and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in cloud support, NOC, or similar roles
- Ability to quickly learn new technical domains and train others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Cloud Associate/Professional Certifications (Any Cloud Provider, OCI preferred)
- Networking certifications
- In-depth understanding of IaaS concepts: Compute and Networking
- Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards (e.g., HIPAA)
This full-time, permanent position is based in Tokyo and may require working in shifts. The role is critical for maintaining customer relationships and ensuring the success of Oracle's cloud platform.
