Senior Data Engineer – Analytics & ML Insights

Oracle Utilities is tackling climate change through data-driven solutions. The Opower Data Engineering group within Oracle Industry Analytics & Innovation organization works on building robust ML insights pipelines and scalable ETLs. As a Senior Data Engineer & Data Analyst, you'll be part of a cross-functional team developing ML/AI/GenAI powered insights that impact millions of households worldwide.

The role involves working with petabytes of data to create transformative solutions using modern Oracle Cloud technologies. You'll collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to ensure data-driven decisions are at the core of operations. The position offers an opportunity to work on significant environmental impact projects - the company has already saved 40 TWh of energy, equivalent to powering 6.3 million passenger vehicles.

You'll be responsible for designing ETL workflows, developing data models, integrating visualization tools, conducting data analysis, and feature engineering for ML applications. The role requires expertise in Python, SQL, and data modeling, with opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies including Generative AI and cloud-based services.
