Senior DevOps Engineer - Communications (Night Shift)

The Communications SRE/Ops team at Oracle is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP) team. This role is part of Oracle's Communications Global Industry Unit, which provides large-scale Communications Cloud solutions including Realtime Communications (RTC) and Internet-of-Things (IOT) services.

The position requires working night shifts with 24x7x365 coverage, including weekends and holidays. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of critical Enterprise Communications Platforms deployed in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You'll work on designing, developing, and implementing operational CI/CD, monitoring/observability, and cloud infrastructure services.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience with strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Golang, and extensive knowledge of cloud technologies, containerization, and DevOps practices. You'll need expertise in monitoring tools, microservices architecture, and experience with various messaging systems and APIs.

Key responsibilities include maintaining service level agreements (SLAs), incident management, problem resolution, and working on automation to improve reliability and reduce operational overhead. You'll be part of an agile team that values continuous learning and innovation.
