Senior Member of Technical Staff

Oracle is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join their OCI team, focusing on building large-scale distributed infrastructure systems for the cloud. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and implementing distributed, cloud-scale systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and building innovative new systems from the ground up
• Solving difficult problems within large scale, global platforms
• Diving deep into any part of the stack, including interaction with hardware
• Providing technical leadership to other software developers
• Specifying, designing, and implementing changes to existing software architecture

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5 years experience with large scale, highly available, cloud-based distributed systems
• Expertise in programming languages such as Java, C, C++, C#, Go, or Python
• Strong understanding of operating systems, data models, and distributed persistence technologies
• Proficiency in network, distributed, asynchronous, and concurrent programming
• Experience with Amazon Web Services or equivalents
