As a Senior Network Reliability Engineer, you'll join the Network Reliability Engineering team focused on providing services for operational excellence in OCI networks at scale. The role involves designing, building, and operating highly scalable solutions for Oracle's next-generation Cloud Infrastructure. You'll work on auto-remediation of incidents, automated operations for device upgrades, and configuration management at scale. The position requires expertise in distributed systems, network automation, and a strong foundation in software development. Responsibilities For Senior Network Reliability Engineer
- Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on shared full stack ownership
- Understand end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and behavioral characteristics of production services
- Design and delivery of mission critical stack, focusing on security, resiliency, scale, and performance
- Partner with development teams in defining and implementing service architecture improvements
- Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues
- Troubleshoot issues and define mitigations using deep understanding of service topology
- Understand and explain the effect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems
Requirements For Senior Network Reliability Engineer
- 4+ years of experience in network and software development
- 2+ years of experience in developing large scale distributed services/applications
- Proficiency with Java/Python/C++ and Object Oriented programming
- Proficiency with network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of basic data structures, search/sort algorithms
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
