As a Senior Security Engineer at Oracle, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the security program and its alignment with corporate policy. Your role involves providing input on the design and architecture of security solutions, maintaining and analyzing current tools, monitoring for gaps or weaknesses in coverage, ensuring compliance with policy and industry standards, and promoting security throughout the organization. You will collaborate with members of other lines of business to identify and address concerns related to security posture and security initiatives. The position requires participation in security project tasks and direct interaction with security organizations and multiple Lines of Business globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring, developing, and maintaining enterprise security tooling programs including SIEM, Endpoint Protection, and Web Application Firewalls.
- Building and administering secure Oracle Cloud environments to support diverse customer needs.
- Implementing security controls and configuring security tools to meet various requirements.
- Enhancing existing security tools and processes to reduce risk.
- Developing and executing Standard Operating Procedures, Event Handlers, Runbooks, and Job Aids.
- Performing troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and developing remediation plans.
- Assessing threats and vulnerabilities and implementing remediation plans.
- Participating in a rotational on-call schedule for critical issues.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in an information security role, supporting security programs and security engineering/architecture in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with enterprise-scale security platforms such as SIEM, Antivirus, Endpoint Detection and Response.
- Strong experience in cloud computing and building secure environments using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Knowledge of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols.
- Understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure designs.
- Excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment, and leadership skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCED, GCIH, GCFA, GIAC, or OCI Certifications are desirable.
