Design, develop and build scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform.
Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle Cerner platform team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete Platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an ambitious spirit that promotes an upbeat and creative environment. We are seeking hands-on Engineers that share our passion and excitement of operating distributed systems at hyper scale using cloud native standard processes. You will have part in the disruption of the health care industry and will help deliver better patient care. As an engineer in our team, you'll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform, applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other specialists. As a tech lead you will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production.
Responsibilities For Senior Software Developer
- Understand dependencies and how individual contributions impact larger vision picture
- Research and contribute to software development standard methodologies that maintain, protect and enhance architectural integrity
- Lead high visibility projects or initiatives
- Provide direction in design sessions and code reviews on functional correctness, architectural maintainability and performance
- Trouble-shoot problems or issues of wide ranging scope and complexity through in-depth analysis of variable data sets and factors
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local laws
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
Requirements For Senior Software Developer
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in computer science, or equivalent
- 5+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems
- Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural standard processes
- Demonstrated ability to write phenomenal code in Java and SpringBoot
- Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.
- Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Great development exposure to cloud preferably OCI
- Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects
