Oracle is seeking a Service Operations Engineer to join their cloud operations team. This role is integral to maintaining and optimizing Oracle's cloud infrastructure and production environments. The position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and operational excellence.
The role involves installing, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing production server hardware and software. You'll be responsible for providing high-level technical support for complex issues, leading problem management cases, and coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors. A key aspect of the position is managing Oracle production environments and storage infrastructure of Oracle system and database appliances.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience, with strong Linux knowledge and experience in cloud technical support or NOC operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required. The position requires US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI + Polygraph Clearance.
Working in a 24/7 NOC environment on a 4x10 schedule including weekends, you'll be part of a team ensuring consistent system uptime in a cloud environment. The role includes participating in incident bridges, system upgrades, bug fixes, and standardization projects across the Oracle technology stack.
