The My Oracle Support (MOS) Development team is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background, experience in Site Reliability Engineering, and a passion for improving service reliability and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with engineers to design, deploy, and enhance the My Oracle Support application
- Ensuring reliability, performance, and security of the MOS solution
- Working as part of a global 24x7x365 DevOps team
- Troubleshooting issues affecting large-scale service architectures and application stacks
- Designing and implementing solutions in cloud environments like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Working with cloud-native technologies including Prometheus, Kubernetes, and Helm
- Managing and optimizing databases such as Oracle Database or MySQL
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 to 5+ years of experience as a System Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role
- Proficiency in Linux-based systems and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Java, Ruby, or Go)
- Experience with agile development and tools like Jira and Git
- Knowledge of cloud environments and cloud-native technologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
