As a Senior Network Reliability Engineer, you'll join the Network Reliability Engineering team focused on providing automated, scalable services for OCI networks. The role involves designing, building, and operating highly scalable solutions for Oracle's next-generation Cloud Infrastructure. You'll work with complex distributed systems managing thousands of devices, focusing on automation, operational excellence, and incident remediation. Responsibilities For Site Reliability Developer 3
- Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on shared full stack ownership
- Design and delivery of mission critical stack, focusing on security, resiliency, scale, and performance
- Partner with development teams in defining and implementing service architecture improvements
- Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues
- Understand and communicate scale, capacity, security, performance attributes
- Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles
- Troubleshoot issues and define mitigations using deep understanding of service topology
Requirements For Site Reliability Developer 3
- 4+ years of experience in network and software development
- 2+ years of experience in developing large scale distributed services/applications
- Proficiency with Java/Python/C++ and Object Oriented programming
- Proficiency with network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of basic data structures, search/sort algorithms
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
