Site Reliability Developer 4

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their Oracle National Security Regions (ONSR) team. As part of the Cloud Platform organization, you'll be responsible for the design and build of core services utilized by internal and external customers. The role involves working on availability, durability, maintainability, operability, and scalability of services. You'll have a high degree of autonomy and will help drive the roadmap for service improvements.

The ideal candidate should have:

• 5+ years of production engineering experience (distributed services or cloud platform experience preferred)
• Strong automation skills and experience with scripting languages
• Solid understanding of Software Engineering, Computer Science principles, Linux administration, Networking, Security, and Storage
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to formulate meaningful KPIs and business metrics

Key responsibilities include:

• Full stack ownership of services and technology areas
• Designing and delivering mission-critical stack with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance
• Partnering with development teams to improve service architecture
• Acting as an escalation point for complex issues
• Troubleshooting and defining mitigations for service issues
