Oracle Database Cloud is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Developer to join their team responsible for building cloud service framework powering various Oracle Autonomous Database cloud services and Exadata Cloud Services. This role focuses on expanding OCI adoption through database migration automation and cloud service development.
The position involves working on Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) and ZDM Cloud Service (ZDMCS), critical tools that facilitate mass migrations of customer databases to OCI cloud environments. You'll be part of building this cloud service from the ground up, working with various internal OCI services including Identity, Logging, Metering, and VCN.
As a Principal engineer, you'll contribute to both development and operations, creating tools and frameworks for deployment and migration operations. You'll work in a fast-paced environment with a world-class team, troubleshooting issues across development, test, and production environments. The role requires leadership in DevOps, combining development and operations to meet customer requirements efficiently.

Responsibilities For Site Reliability Developer 4
- Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on shared full stack ownership
- Design and delivery of mission critical stack, focusing on security, resiliency, scale, and performance
- Partner with development teams in defining and implementing service architecture improvements
- Act as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues
- Implement new features, enhancements, and customer issue resolution
- Perform code reviews and quality assurance testing
- Troubleshoot issues and define mitigations
Requirements For Site Reliability Developer 4
- BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
- Strong problem solving, debugging and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies - Terraform, REST API, Jenkins, Grafana
- Proficiency in OOP Programming Languages including Java
- Experience with Linux and Shell Scripting
- Experience with software versioning tools (git/svn)
- Working knowledge of Oracle Databases and MySQL
- Very good communication skills
- 6 to 10+ years of experience
