Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure is a new organization focusing on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, building a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. They are seeking a Principal Member of Technical Staff (PMTS) to design and build scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support the health care platform, applications, and end users. The role requires expertise in distributed systems, identity, security, observability, and user experience. This is a greenfield opportunity to design and build new cloud-centric applications from the ground up. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement intuitive and seamless customer experiences
- Lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services
- Think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers
- Work closely with architects, principals, product and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality
- Translate wireframes into prototypes and production-ready interfaces
- Collaborate with geographically distributed teams
Technical Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field (MS preferred)
- 7+ years distributed service engineering experience
- Expert in Java
- Deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development in cloud environments
- Strong skills in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
- Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Good understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies
- Knowledge of OCI or AWS, Azure, GCP, Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services
