Software Development Director

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a highly experienced Software Development Director to lead critical infrastructure initiatives in their Networking organization. This role combines technical leadership with people management, requiring 10+ years of experience in managing large-scale critical services.

The position involves leading a high-caliber team responsible for the design, delivery, and operational excellence of essential infrastructure components. The director will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while maintaining focus on long-term stability and scalability.

Key responsibilities include managing software development tasks, building architectural enhancements, and providing strategic leadership to the team. The role demands expertise in Networking, Data Center Operations, Distributed Systems, IoT, and network monitoring/automation. The director will influence senior leadership, manage cross-functional teams, and make decisions that significantly impact the organization's infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS degree in a relevant field, proven experience in people management, and a strong background in developing senior individual contributors. They must excel in strategic planning, resource management, and performance optimization within a technology-driven environment.
