Responsibilities For Software Development Director
- Providing leadership, direction, and strategy for a growing team
- Establishing and developing organizational capacity needed to execute on strategy
- Mentoring and developing other leaders and senior engineers
- Successfully leading as site lead for larger geographically distributed organization
- Delivering large-scale project on-time with high quality
- Overseeing operational teams supporting products in production under customer load
- Working with OCI leadership, senior engineers, program managers, and product managers
- Providing guidance and constructive feedback to team members
- Raising the bar for product quality and customer experience
Requirements For Software Development Director
- 12+ years of experience in software industry with 5+ years in Engineering Management
- Strong track record for hiring and retaining top-tier talent
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of C++, Java programming language and its ecosystem
- Good understanding of Micro-service architectures, Distributed systems, Storage systems and Cloud
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, databases, storage and distributed systems fundamentals
- Experience with build automation, continuous integration and continuous deployment tools
