Responsibilities For Software Development Manager
- Service Accountability - Lead a team building core highly-performant, scalable services for Cost Management
- Operations Engineering - Understand and communicate scale, capacity, security, and performance attributes
- Incident Management - Own and respond to customer incidents within SLAs
- Technical Leadership - Maintain deep understanding of service topology and dependencies
- Cross-team collaboration - Engage with various audiences from ICs to senior leadership
- People management - Inspire team, manage hiring, promotions, and team performance
Requirements For Software Development Manager
- 3+ years experience managing a team that delivered and operated large-scale, highly available distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of Java
- Demonstrable success mentoring and growing junior engineers to senior levels
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Has managed a team of 5+ people for at least 3 years
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent
