Software Development Manager

Oracle is seeking a Software Development Manager to join their Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team. The role involves managing a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks. As a manager, you'll apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks, build enhancements within existing software architecture, and suggest improvements. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as a thorough understanding of product development. You'll be responsible for developing short, medium, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives and interact with senior management across functional areas. The OCI Identity team is specifically looking for a senior manager with cloud experience to own and manage a team of software engineers and development managers. This role will drive major aspects of product definition, contribute to product strategy, and develop next-generation Identity capabilities for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with low-level operating systems development, able to architect broad systems interactions, and be hands-on with the ability to dive deep into any part of the stack.
