Network Hardware Engineers support the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI). Primarily focused on developing and deploying the physical rack layouts, cabling design, and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.
Pluggable Optics engineers are responsible for driving the test/qualification of the physical components deployed by Pluggable Optics Engineering and the product lifecycle management in the pluggable optics space. We are looking for engineers with a unique background covering numerous areas of network hardware engineering, including cabling, low-level device performance, thermals, etc. As OCI is a cloud-based network with a global footprint, this support will include hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected over a mix of dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet.
Lead the standardization of our rack SKUs and the buildout of a standardized cabling solution by defining high-level objectives and delivery procedures. Organizes project technical landmarks & supporting tasks. Worked as project technical lead, coordinating the efforts of several engineers across multiple teams in the organization. Advises project/program manager and coordinates with immediate and skip-level leadership. Collaborates across teams within the same org (same VP) and outside of the org. Serve as technical SME in multi-functional activities.
Responsible for driving technology to meet product and service requirements. Participate in coordinated communication with product teams, networking leadership, and PMO to help assess gaps, solutions, and needs.
Career Level - IC5 Providing technical leadership for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical components, assemblies, or integrated circuitry for hardware systems for the external market. This includes new designs and modification activities that result in significant product enhancement. Activities encompass design, analysis, testing, and process development using engineering principles and methods.
