Description For Technical Writer 3-ProdDev

As a Technical Writer 3 in Product Development at Oracle, you will be responsible for creating, developing, planning, writing, and editing operational, instructional, maintenance, test, and user manuals for paper, multimedia, or web-based publications. You will contribute to the timely design, production, and delivery of product documentation and document sets. Your role involves designing, creating, and delivering whole product documentation sets and/or related courseware, as well as editing, organizing, and directing the work activities of other technical writers and staff. You will plan the format, arrange the layout of publications, and edit work for conformance to publication standards and specifications. This position requires 6 to 10+ years of experience, excellent command of U.S. English, and strong technical writing skills. You will work in an Agile software development environment, collaborating with various teams and participating in product design meetings. The ideal candidate should have experience with documentation tools, XML editors, and content management systems, as well as knowledge of the software development process.
