Junior Product Engineer

This technology helps preserve donor livers for up to 12 hours, in efforts to reduce organ discard rates and facilitate more successful transplants. The Junior Product Engineer position, reporting to the SVP of Product Engineering, is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of the metra®. Key responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with investigations into root causes of failures
2. Supporting the creation of assembly instructions and outputs for the Operations team
3. Assisting New Product Development and Operations teams in design reviews and transfer activities
4. Understanding the product's intended use, clinical procedures, and customer needs
5. Creating and maintaining engineering documentation
6. Following R&D procedures such as failure analysis, design controls, and risk management
7. Assisting with prototyping efforts and bench testing
8. Preparing visualizations and conclusions for upper management

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, 0-5 years of work experience, and knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, design principles, and manufacturing methods. Experience in the medical device industry, especially under ISO 13485 QMS, is preferred.
