Oura Health Ltd is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join their innovative hardware team, focusing on the development of next-generation wearable technology and health monitoring devices. The position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in consumer electronics, particularly in designing and shipping high-volume products. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies including ultra-low power microprocessors, MEMS sensors, and wireless charging systems. The role demands expertise in both analog and digital circuit design, with a strong foundation in various communication protocols such as UART, I2C, MIPI, and SPI.

As a Staff Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading electrical design and development initiatives, conducting thorough system validation, and collaborating across multiple teams including mechanical, firmware, and quality assurance. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement in either San Francisco or San Diego, providing flexibility while maintaining in-person collaboration.

The compensation package is highly competitive, with salary ranges from $159,000 to $228,000 depending on location, plus equity. Responsibilities For Staff Electrical Engineer

  • Electrical Design and development of cutting-edge wearable and consumer devices
  • Conduct thorough testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Work closely with mechanical engineers for component integration
  • Collaborate with firmware engineers on embedded systems
  • Work with leadership to help define and refine product roadmaps and timelines

Requirements For Staff Electrical Engineer

  • 10+ years experience designing and shipping high volume consumer electronics
  • Experience with ultra low power microprocessors, SoCs, MEMS sensors, and Wireless Charging technologies
  • Experience designing and validating custom analog and digital circuits and systems
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout software
  • Hands-on prototyping experience
  • Manufacturing expertise with high density PCBs, flexes, batteries, and sensing modules
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Technical leadership abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
