Outreach is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join their Compute, Observability and Reliability (COR) team in Prague, Czechia. This role focuses on creating and maintaining the Kubernetes platform, cloud configuration, and most of Outreach's infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be self-reliant, able to drive medium-sized technical projects, and have experience with Kubernetes, IaaC tools (preferably Terraform), cloud providers (preferably AWS), Linux systems, and scripting languages. The role involves working on team-wide projects, implementing new tools, supporting other engineers, and participating in on-call rotation. Responsibilities For Staff Site Reliability Engineer (AWS, Kubernetes, GO)
- Working on team-wide projects and initiatives mostly focusing on improving the platform
- Recurring upgrades of K8s platform and installed K8s add-ons
- Implementing new tools/projects (Kubecost, Cloud-custodian, Karpenter,...)
- Improving general infrastructure management
- Supporting & helping other engineers at Outreach
- Reacting to incoming requests/questions on a dedicated slack channel
- Participating in the on-call rotation
- Researching new cool & useful technologies
Requirements For Staff Site Reliability Engineer (AWS, Kubernetes, GO)
- Experience with creating & managing production K8s clusters
- Experience with digging into & investigating various K8s problems
- Proficient in any IaaC tool (Terraform preferred)
- Proficient in one of the three major cloud providers (AWS preferred)
- Proficient in Linux systems (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux,...)
- Proficient in working with version control systems (Github,...)
- Proficient in any scripting language (bash, python,...)
- Proficiency in Golang is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
