Description For Staff Software Engineer, Voice Intelligence Services (Kaia)

Outreach, the pioneering AI Sales Execution Platform, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Kaia services team. This role focuses on building and enhancing Outreach Kaia (Knowledge AI Assistant), working with cutting-edge technologies in Conversational AI, Speech Recognition, and Machine Learning. The position offers an opportunity to work on highly scalable distributed systems while directly impacting customer success.

The role involves working with the Voice Intelligence Services team to build the most intelligent assistant for sales engagement. You'll collaborate closely with customers, scientists, and product managers, owning features from design to implementation. The team tackles challenging problems in conversational understanding and system scalability using cloud-driven development and advanced ML technologies.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and work on critical systems handling voice/video streams and real-time transcriptions. The position requires strong expertise in Java or Go, with 6+ years of experience shipping production-quality code. You'll be responsible for analyzing intelligence extraction algorithms, evaluating third-party API performance, and ensuring high system availability.
