Responsibilities For Senior Mechanical Engineer - Site Infrastructure
- Develop innovative mechanical designs for large welded structures that support fusion pulser equipment
- Lead implementation of design changes and improvements across systems
- Work with vendors and manufacturers to ensure practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs
- Provide structural mechanical analysis on various systems
- Conduct design reviews and provide critical feedback
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for system-level designs
- Oversee creation of detailed design documentation and specifications
- Stay current with industry trends
- Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements For Senior Mechanical Engineer - Site Infrastructure
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required (Master's Degree is a plus)
- 5+ years work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Experience with design of weldments and large metal structures
- Experience in structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Advanced knowledge of CAD software, such as Creo
- Proven track record of developing successful mechanical designs
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM
- Experience in hands-on engineering design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
