Forward Deployed Data Engineer - UK Government

As a Forward Deployed Data Engineer (FDDE) at Palantir, you will work directly with customers to quickly understand their problems and support the day-to-day operations of Foundry deployments. You'll apply your problem-solving ability, creativity, and technical skills to support our customer's Foundry stacks and workflows. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing data-driven workflows for customers
• Building new data pipelines and customer workflows
• Creating health metrics and automated alerts
• Fixing bugs in pipelines and products
• Developing and documenting strategies for engaging with customer support
• Identifying relevant datasets and integrating them into stable and extensible pipelines
• Responding to and triaging incoming support requests

Requirements:

• Strong engineering background (Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience)
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript
• Familiarity with data engineering frameworks such as SQL or Spark
